Grant Making: Job Creation through Entrepreneurship
Our Founder, Kenneth King, worked hard to succeed at his many strengths including leadership, financial and investment knowledge, and entrepreneurship. Ultimately, King became successful, beginning with very modest beginnings, through the power of hard work, entrepreneurialism and the free enterprise system. Kenneth King placed a high value in those individuals who take initiative to improve their lives. Research shows that entrepreneurs continue to improve communities through business ideation, job creation and economic development.
As such, the Kenneth King Foundation will be focusing the majority of its grantmaking on job creation and entrepreneurship.
The Foundation will continue to fund organizations providing basic needs to the homeless and less fortunate.
Our next grant deadline will be March 1, 2016.
In 2016, the Foundation launched a Program Related Investment Fund, and will consider lending capital to mission aligned nonprofit organizations.
